The Fiberglass/Detailer Technician will ensure our company's continued growth and success by focusing on quality and efficiently completing tasks assigned on any given day. Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Assess repairs to ensure proper materials are on hand and ready.
- Examine finished surfaces of workpieces to verify conformance to specifications, using all proper equipment
- Clean and maintain tools and equipment using solvents, brushes, rags, and the shop.
- Read job orders and inspect workpieces to determine work procedures and materials required.
- Make any and all repairs complete with the utmost quality standards
- Perform quality checks throughout and at completion of jobs assigned to them or the team.
- Keep a clean and safe work area. Follow safety procedures to protect themselves and those around them.
- Responsible for following the quality systems procedures and standard operating procedures of the service center
- Promote a culture of service excellence by sharing best practices, establishing priorities, and supporting all Detail Service team members. Evaluate staff performance both on an ongoing, regular basis as well as annually to address and correct any areas of concern
- Conduct consistent and thorough training of detail service staff to ensure they can correctly identify each product's features, components, and benefits in our lineup. Focus on offering hands-on training and demonstrations that will allow team members to understand firsthand the products we offer in the Detail Service Department
- Attract, hire, and retain a diverse team of top talent in the Detail Service Department. Build a team that successfully represents the Iconic Marine brand by delivering exceptional service and driving client loyalty
- Polishes and waxes boats as needed
- Cleans customer boats and ensures they are ready for pick up.
- Report all damaged or malfunctioning equipment to the Service Manager.
- Additional duties and projects as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: A High School Diploma or GED is required; post-secondary education is desired
Experience: 1-2 years of bottom paint and/or detailing experience preferred
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills needed
Certifications & Licenses: Must possess, or have the ability to obtain, a Class E driver and state boater license
WORK ENVIRONMENT A typical office environment has a moderate noise level when working indoors. Outdoor and marine environments may contain uneven and slippery surfaces. The noise levels may increase substantially upon interaction with watercraft.
